Privacy Policy
VoiceBoost — Last updated: July 2026
VoiceBoost respects your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or identifiable information.
Data Collection
VoiceBoost operates entirely locally on your device. Specifically:
- No user data is collected, logged, or sent to any server.
- No analytics or tracking tools are included.
- No cookies are used.
- No network requests are made by the extension beyond what is required to load the pages you visit.
Permissions
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions solely for the purpose of boosting audio on video/audio elements:
- activeTab — Used to communicate the boost level from the popup to the content script on the currently active tab. No tab data is read or stored.
- storage — Used to save your preferred boost level (percentage) locally on your device so it persists between sessions. This data never leaves your browser.
- <all_urls> host permission — Required so the content script can detect and boost audio on video/audio elements across all websites. The extension does not inspect, modify, or access any other page content.
Third Parties
VoiceBoost does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs. No data is shared with any third party.
Changes
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
