🔒 Privacy Policy

for Screen Shotter

📅 Last Updated: August 3, 2026

Screen Shotter is a browser extension that allows users to capture screenshots and send them to Discord or Telegram using webhook/API information configured by the user.

This Privacy Policy explains how Screen Shotter collects, processes, stores, and shares information.

1 Data Collected and Processed

Screen Shotter does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, physical address, financial information, or browsing history.

When you use the extension to capture a screenshot, Screen Shotter processes the screenshot image in order to provide its core functionality.

The extension may also process configuration information provided by you, such as a Discord webhook URL or Telegram bot/chat configuration, when required to send screenshots to your selected destination.

2 How Data Is Used

Screenshot data is used solely to perform the action requested by the user: capturing and sending a screenshot to the user's configured Discord or Telegram destination.

Screen Shotter does not use screenshot content for advertising, profiling, analytics, tracking, or marketing purposes.

3 Data Transmission

When you choose to send a screenshot, the screenshot is transmitted to the third-party service selected and configured by you.

Depending on your configuration, screenshot data may be transmitted to:

  • Discord — when you configure the extension to send screenshots through a Discord webhook.
  • Telegram — when you configure the extension to send screenshots through Telegram's services.

Transmission occurs only as necessary to provide the screenshot-sharing functionality requested by the user.

4 Data Storage

The developer of Screen Shotter does not operate a server or database for storing screenshots.

Screen Shotter does not retain copies of screenshots on developer-controlled servers.

Configuration information required for the extension to function may be stored locally within your browser using browser/extension storage.

Screenshots sent to Discord or Telegram may be stored by those services according to their respective privacy policies and data-retention practices.

5 Data Sharing

Screen Shotter does not sell user data.

Screenshot data is shared only with the third-party service selected by the user for screenshot delivery.

The third-party services that may receive data are:

  • Discord — Screenshot images may be sent to Discord when the user configures and uses a Discord webhook.
  • Telegram — Screenshot images may be sent to Telegram when the user configures and uses Telegram for screenshot delivery.

The developer does not share screenshot data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or other unrelated third parties.

6 User-Controlled Credentials and Configuration

Webhook URLs, bot tokens, chat identifiers, or similar configuration information supplied by the user are used only to enable the requested integration.

Where such configuration is stored by the extension, it is stored locally in the user's browser/extension storage and is not intentionally transmitted to the developer.

Users are responsible for protecting their webhook URLs, bot tokens, and other integration credentials.

7 Browsing Activity

Screen Shotter does not collect or maintain a history of websites visited by users.

The extension may access the content displayed in the current browser tab when necessary to capture a screenshot requested by the user.

This access is used only to provide screenshot functionality.

8 Third-Party Services

Screen Shotter integrates with third-party services, including Discord and Telegram.

When data is sent to these services, the processing and storage of that data by the third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policies.

Screen Shotter does not control how Discord or Telegram stores data after it has been successfully transmitted to those services.

9 Data Security

Screen Shotter is designed to limit data processing to what is necessary to provide its screenshot-sharing functionality.

The developer does not maintain a database containing users' screenshots or personal information.

Users should keep Discord webhook URLs, Telegram bot tokens, and other credentials private because anyone who obtains these credentials may be able to access or use the associated integration.

10 Children's Privacy

Screen Shotter does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11 Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Screen Shotter's functionality or data-handling practices change.

Updates will be published on this page along with a revised "Last Updated" date.
